How long does it take for a refund if a a food order is canceled or times out?

Refunds depend on how you paid for your order:


  • Wallet Payments
    If you paid using your Smartie Wallet, refunds are instant. Once the order is cancelled, the refunded amount will appear immediately in your wallet balance.


  • Card Payments

    • New Zealand & Australia Bank Cards: Refunds are usually instant and will appear back on your card balance right away.

    • Cook Islands Bank Cards: Refunds may take longer to process due to local banking systems. The delay is on the bank’s side, not Smartie’s. Typically, it can take anywhere from a few hours up to several business days for the funds to show in your account.
