How can a customer without an internet connection pay a merchant at a Merchant Checkout?

Sometimes a customer does not have an internet connection on their phone. In this case Smartie Merchants can use the Offline feature in the Smartie Merchant app. This will allow the user to use the Merchants internet connection.

To do this click on the Offline icon under the Services section if you are logged into the Smartie Merchant Admin account.

If you are logged in as a staff member in a Smartie Merchant Checkout, then click on the Offline payment button.

Ask the user to open up their SmartPay app and display their SmartPay QR Code. Then scan their QR Code.

Enter in the amount that the customer owes

Ask the customer to enter in their SmartPay PIN. This authorizes the Merchant to withdraw money from the customers wallet using the Merchants internet connection. 

If successful, you should get a Transfer Successful page
